
The Ellsworth Community School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th in the Superintendent's Office at 9467 Park Street, Ellsworth, MI 49729.

With the delivery of new salad bars our cafeteria renovations are complete. The expanded space features new tables and chairs as well as a fun and vibrant color scheme.


This coming Wednesday, January 31 Ellsworth Community School will be hosting the FFA Leadership Skills contest at the high school from 3:00-7:00 p.m.

On Saturday the ECS Cybertronic Lancers robotics team held a work session to practice driving their 2018 robot. Thanks to all the mentors/advisors who give up their time to work with the students.

Elementary students reached their “Caught Being Good” goal and were rewarded with a movie in the high school gym Friday afternoon.


Middle School students had a great time at Saturday’s Student Council Lock-In. A big thank you to Mrs. Goslee, Mr. Murray, Mr. Faivor, and Mrs. Swenson for chaperoning.


ECS Sports Update: Parents tomorrow (Saturday, January 27) elementary basketball will be playing in Alba, NOT Vanderbilt as previously scheduled. Games begin at 9:00, players should arrive by 8:30.

Congratulations to the winners of this morning's 4th-8th grade school spelling bee.

Big and Little Buddies - One of the many benefits of our high school/elementary peer mentoring program is the time that students are able to spend together during lunch and recess.


Sports Update: The Girls JV & Varsity basketball game against Grand Traverse Academy has been cancelled for tonight.

ECS Parents and Staff: Ellsworth Community School will be closed today, Tuesday, January 23 due to icy road conditions. Please have a safe day.


CANCELED: Mt. McSauba Ski School scheduled for tonight has been canceled due to bad weather. Lessons will resume as regularly scheduled next Monday.


Congratulations to the Ellsworth Elementary Full-Value-Agreement Students of the Month!


The Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council visited 6th and 8th grade science classes Tuesday to demonstrate point source and non-point source pollution. Students added "pollution" and made it rain to see how the pollution moves through our watershed. They will be visiting 7th grade Wednesday.


Today in Life Skills students prepared a chicken provided by FFA.


Sports Update: No boys/girls JV bball this Thur/Fri. Both the boys and girls varsity teams will play at home against Alba on Fri. Girls at 5:30. Boys to follow.


Students in fourth grade science are working on building roller coasters and bumper cars in their study of force and motion.

The ECS Robotics Team, the Cybertronic Lancers, held a work session this morning in preparation for their third season of competition.


Students in Mr. Faivor’s UAV class are practicing flying their drones in the high school gym.
