Thank You

"Knock on wood." Ellsworth Community School would like to send a huge THANK YOU shout-out to the students, staff, parents, and families of ECS for the incredibly successful start to the very unusual 2020/21 school year.

It's hard to believe that we're entering our seventh week of the school year. It would also be hard to envision how the first 20% of the year could have gone better considering the circumstances. For that we have two main groups of people to thank.

First and foremost, we'd like to thank the students of ECS. From pre-school through seniors each and every student has been a joy to work with. No one has complained or made even the slightest fuss regarding the many safety protocols that we have in place at school. The students have seemed to be extremely happy to be back in school and around their friends. No one wants to return to where we were last spring.

Secondly, we'd like to thank the incredible staff of ECS. From teachers and aides to transportation, kitchen, custodial, and support staff every adult has needed to step up and do what's necessary. That's one of the things that makes ECS such a special place. A fantastic group of adults working together as a PK-12 team.

In closing, not to be superstitious, but we again feel we need to "knock on wood" and hope that the 2020/21 school year will continue to be an uneventful success. We know that there will still most likely be challenges and obstacles in our path, but we're thankful to have made it almost two months without issue.
