LANCERS IN THE COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Antrim County MSU Extension 4-H Program would like to offer the youth in our school systems the opportunity to participate in our annual events. The students do not have to belong to a 4-H Club to participate-we just need them to sign up: https://4honline.com/#/user/sign-in 

Participating in these 4-H programs are beneficial for our young people because it provides a hands-on learning environment that fosters the development of critical life skills like leadership, communication, responsibility, confidence, and community engagement all while allowing them to explore diverse areas of interests.

Below is a list of annual experiences, pre-college programs and camps. We offer scholarships to assist with cost if needed. We will work diligently with any student that would like to go but faces a barrier.

  • 4-H Capitol Experience:

  • World Food Prize- Michigan Youth Institute at MSU:

Takes place in May each year/Cost is FREE/in person or zoom/grades 7th-12th/registration begins in February through March: https://www.canr.msu.edu/wfpmiyi/index 

  • 4-H Exploration Days:

  • Great Lakes and Natural resources Camp:

Takes place end of July into August each year, 6 nights in a cabin setting, includes all meals and snacks and activities: https://www.canr.msu.edu/4_h_great_lakes_natural_resources_camp/index 

Our goal is for the youth of Antrim County to look forward to attending these amazing experiences and camps every year. These programs help develop and expand youth careers, personal interest, passions and hobbies!
